Junior Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach

Holy Child is an all-girls, Catholic, independent, college-preparatory school for grades 5-12 in Rye, New York. We are looking to add a JV Field Hockey Assistant Coach to our program. Proven success as a player or coach is strongly encouraged of applicants. This is a coaching-only, competitively paid, part-time position.

Duties include:

• Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new players.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices.
• Attend any/all practices and competitions at the direction of the Director of Athletics.
• Supervise student-athletes during all team activities; travel with the team(s) to and from away games.
• Communicate effectively with parents and students via Holy Child email account.

Schedule:

• The season starts the week of August 18, 2026, and runs through November 7, 2026.
• Practices are traditionally held Monday through Friday, anytime from 3:15pm - 6:45pm.
• Matches are scattered throughout the week with the occasional Saturday contest.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience coaching at any level of field hockey is preferred.
• Past player experience preferred.
