Island School seeks a dedicated Engineering & Design teacher to join our college-preparatory environment. The full-time position includes teaching Maker Studio design, Digital Technology, and Coding. The position begins in late July for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Island School is a WASC/HAIS accredited PK-12 independent day school with a total enrollment of just over 450 students. Located on the rural island of Kaua`i, the school is known for its stunning natural beauty and commitment to independent school education.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching engineering and design skills, and effective classroom management strategies. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in teaching students in a school context.
Additional responsibilities may include serving as an advisor and participating fully in the life of the school. 2+ years of relevant teaching experience are preferred.
