Learning Strategist Teacher (Middle and Senior Grades)

Saltus Grammar School is seeking a Learning Strategist Teacher to join the Learning Support Team. The successful candidate will work with students and faculty in the Middle and Senior School providing individualized student learning support services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) and carrying out activities/programs for both individual students and groups.
  • Being familiar with British Columbia Curriculum in support of students meeting grade level learning standards.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and modifying interventions, strategies and accommodations to student ILPs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, students, parents to identify strategies that support student learning and success.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience in teaching and learning support, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the British Columbia Curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
