The Walker School is seeking an exceptional Fourth Grade Lead Teacher with a concentration in Social Studies to join our vibrant Lower School community. In This Role, You Will:

  • Serve as the lead teacher for a fourth-grade classroom while providing leadership in social studies instruction.
  • Create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that foster critical thinking and curiosity.
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with grade-level and specialty teachers to create an integrated learning experience.
  • Foster a classroom culture grounded in respect, belonging, and joyful learning.
  • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Teaching certification in Elementary Education or related field.
  • Experience teaching fourth-grade social studies.
  • Ability to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
