The Daycare Assistant and Lunch Supervisor is a part-time position responsible for the supervision and care of students during daycare and lunch hours.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
Supports the philosophy, policies, and goals of the School, as well as the decisions made by the administration.
Insures the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
Holds in strict confidence all matters pertaining to the School.
Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook and Employee Handbook.
Attends faculty and administrative meetings as needed.
The Daycare Assistant will be responsible for the students checked into the Daycare, while the Lunch Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all grades during lunch recess.
Duties:
Punctuality: arrives to work on time.
Supervise daily lunch duty.
Watches students during lunch and lunch recess, communicates any accidents or incidents to the supervisor and teacher.
Sets a good example according to daycare objectives and lunch supervision, demonstrating professional, polite, and ethical behavior.
Is enthusiastic and participates in all activities with students.
Plans and implements activities for daycare, encouraging and facilitating student participation.
Maintains the Preschool & Daycare room and hallway, including updating bulletin boards with students' Art and projects.
Handles clean-up at the conclusion of activities or days.
Shares and rotates responsibilities with other assistants.
Oversees student check-in and sign-out as needed.
Cares for sick students when a nurse or Daycare director is unavailable.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
