Job Description:

Reporting to the head of school and serving as a key member of the advancement team, the communications manager leads and executes Trinity Hall’s comprehensive communications strategy. This is a highly entrepreneurial role requiring vision, initiative and strong self-discipline. The communications manager owns and safeguards the school’s brand and voice, working collaboratively across admissions, development, and school leadership while independently managing projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, anticipates needs and produces thoughtful, mission-aligned work that elevates Trinity Hall’s story and strengthens engagement across the community. This is a 12-month position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute a strategic, mission-aligned communications plan that strengthens Trinity Hall’s brand, voice, and reputation.
  • Collaborate with admissions, development, and school leadership to advance the school’s mission and goals.
  • Manage and safeguard the school’s brand and voice, ensuring consistency across all communications channels.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to engage with students, faculty, families, alumnae, donors, and the broader community.
  • Write and edit content for various communications channels, including the school’s website, social media, and print materials.
  • Design and produce visual content, including graphics, videos, and photography, to support the school’s communications strategy.
  • Manage and maintain the school’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects the school’s brand and voice.
  • Develop and implement a crisis communications plan to ensure the school is prepared to respond to any crisis or issue that may arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies.
  • Excellent writing, design, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in communications.
  • Experience with website management and content management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
