A full-time faculty member at Asheville School contributes to all aspects of boarding school life. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in the classroom, leadership in afternoon programs, guidance as an advisor, and active engagement as a member of a residential duty team. Faculty are expected to model professionalism, curiosity, and openness to growth, serving as vital role models who support and inspire students both in and out of the classroom.
The Math Teacher will be responsible for teaching four sections of their discipline in a seven-period rotation, participating in two out of three seasons of afternoon activities & athletics, serving as an advisor, and serving as a member of a residential duty team, including the possibility of living in one of our residential halls. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our campus community, enthusiastically helping where needed, and staying abreast of changing pedagogies and educational technologies.
The Math Teacher will also be an impactful athletic coach in our afternoon programs, participating in Blues Core, Winterim, and Saturday Programming, and supporting the School’s mission, vision, and values.
