Position Overview:

We're on the lookout for a compassionate, responsible individual to join our Residential Life team as a Dormitory Staff Member. This role is perfect for someone who loves to make a difference in young people's lives by creating a nurturing, home-like environment. You'll be the go-to person for about 20-30 international students, helping them navigate daily life, ensuring their safety, and contributing to their personal growth. This position is a part-time shift suitable for those working or attending school, and includes full room and board.

Key Responsibilities:

· Foster a positive living and learning atmosphere.

· Supervise and support students outside classroom hours.

· Organize and implement engaging weekend activities.

· Ensure the dormitory remains a clean, safe space.

· Act as a liaison between students, families, and the school community.

· Supervise and support residents in the dormitory, ensuring adherence to community standards and policies.

· Organize and facilitate educational programs, workshops, and events that promote personal growth and academic success.

· Serve as a mentor and resource for students, providing guidance on academic and personal matters.

· Collaborate with university staff to address student needs and concerns effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
