Fredericksburg Academy, the leading independent school in the Fredericksburg region, is seeking a full-time Middle and Upper School Science Teacher beginning in August 2026.

The science portion covers a year each of Physical, Life, and Earth Science for grades 6-8, and for Upper School, an Integrated Science foundation followed by a variety of elective science offerings including four Advanced Placement courses.
The current instructional opening includes teaching Earth Science and alternating years of Environmental Science and Physical Science, but is subject to change.
Academy students bring a laptop or tablet to school each day, so technological proficiency and demonstrated use of technology within the learning environment is preferred.
Additional responsibilities include serving as a Middle School advisor to approximately 8 to 10 students and supporting co-curricular activities, preferably through coaching one of our athletic teams at the Middle School or Varsity level or advising other student-led clubs.
