Norfolk Collegiate School seeks a dedicated, collaborative, and student-centered Third Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This position is responsible for teaching core elementary subjects while fostering a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports students' academic and social-emotional growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at the elementary level, demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills, and be committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families.
Foster a positive classroom community that supports social-emotional development.
Collaborate with grade-level team members and specialists to support student learning.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teacher licensure preferred.
Teaching experience at the elementary level, preferably in a third-grade classroom.
Strong understanding of elementary literacy and mathematics instruction.
Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
