OVERVIEW OF POSITION
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is seeking Assistant Football Coaches to support the Upper School football program during the fall season. This is a stipend-based, supplemental coaching position. Coaches who are hired by the school in a full-time teaching role may have opportunities for expanded, year-round involvement with the football program, consistent with their primary academic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

In-Season Responsibilities (Fall)

  • Coach an assigned position group or unit during practices and competitions.
  • Assist with practice planning, film breakdown, scouting, and game preparation.
  • Supervise and mentor student athletes during practices, games, and team events.
  • Support game-day operations, logistics, and team organization.

Off-Season Responsibilities (Applies Only to Full—Time School Employees)

  • Participate in offseason planning and limited player development activities as assigned.
  • Support program continuity and mentorship consistent with full-time school responsibilities.

Time Commitment

  • Fall-season coaching responsibilities are required for all Assistant Football Coaches.
  • Offseason and year-round involvement apply only to individuals hired in a full-time teaching role.
  • Practices, meetings, and events may occur before or after school, evenings, and occasionally on weekends during the season.

Requirements

  • Experience in football coaching or related field.
  • Ability to work with students and staff in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
