As Head of Payments, you will own and drive our global payments strategy, ensuring our payment infrastructure supports business growth while delivering a seamless, reliable, and cost-effective experience for customers. You will be responsible for optimising payment performance, expanding our payment capabilities, and building the frameworks, processes, and team needed to scale efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's payments strategy, aligning payment operations, provider relationships, and infrastructure with broader business objectives and growth plans.
Own and continuously optimise our payments ecosystem, including payment service providers (PSPs), digital wallets, card processing, bank transfers, and alternative payment methods.
Review and improve payments UI/UX as a product, identifying opportunities to reduce friction, increase conversion, and improve the overall customer payment experience.
Optimise payment routing logic and provider performance to maximise approval rates while minimising processing costs across all key markets.
Monitor payment performance at a PSP, issuer, and market level, identifying opportunities to improve rates, reduce declines, and increase payment reliability.
Define and maintain the optimal provider mix for each market by balancing approval rates, processing fees, settlement structures, reliability, and customer preferences.
Lead negotiations with PSPs, financial institutions, and payment partners to secure favourable commercial terms, lower costs, and improved service levels.
Identify opportunities to reduce foreign exchange and settlement costs through local acquiring, alternative settlement structures, and provider optimisation.
Take ownership of new PSP evaluations and integrations, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.

Requirements
8+ years of experience in payments, payments strategy, or a related field.
Proven track record of driving payments growth, optimising payment performance, and improving customer experience.
Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including PSPs, digital wallets, card processing, and alternative payment methods.
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
