St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s School seeks an experienced and qualified Spanish teacher for Grades 4 - 8, starting in September 2026.
We seek an enthusiastic and collegial teacher with native or near-native fluency and experience teaching in the elementary grades.
The successful candidate will design engaging, proficiency-based lessons that develop linguistic skills and cultural appreciation, while fostering a supportive classroom environment for early adolescents.
They should be highly skilled at establishing effective rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
They should be dedicated to nurturing an enduring love of Spanish and culture, their students' passions and talents, and to developing each student’s skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to build, assess, and integrate curriculum across disciplines.
They should be dedicated to fostering student success and well-being beyond their classroom.
Additionally, applicants should be dedicated to success in meeting the social, emotional, cultural, and academic needs of middle school students.
