Spanish Language Teacher

Mayfield Senior School of the Holy Child Jesus, Pasadena, California seeks a mission-driven, dynamic, and student-centered Spanish Language Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Rooted in the Holy Child commitment to educating the “whole child” and the goal of launching young women for success, Mayfield Senior seeks an experienced Spanish educator with strong content knowledge in Spanish, pedagogical expertise, and a deep understanding of how students learn best in today’s World Language classrooms.

This teacher will inspire curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking while fostering a classroom community rooted in respect, collaboration, and intellectual engagement. The teacher will also be an integral member of the school community, contributing fully to the life of the school. Typical responsibilities include teaching four or five sections of Spanish Language (which may include honors and/or AP-level courses) along with other duties as assigned.

• Teach a range of courses that may include college-preparatory, honors, and/or AP Spanish Language and Culture across all grade levels, 9th to 12th
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and resources, and encourage student-centered learning
