Production Manager – Reid Stockfeeds (Gunbower)

Reid Stockfeeds is a leading, family‑owned stockfeed manufacturer, and we’re looking for an energetic Production Manager to lead and manage our Gunbower team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be on the production floor, working closely with teammates to ensure the smooth running of manufacturing and logistics in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building, developing and working in with the team of millers and drivers to deliver a high quality feedstock product to customers the team
• Overseeing scheduling to coordinate daily production and delivery priorities
• Managing the site to a high standard and ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing and logistics processes
• Maintaining strict compliance to Safety, Quality, and Feedsafe requirements without compromise
• Continuously improving the work environment and processes to ensure risks are well managed
• Solving problems quickly and effectively during mill breakdowns or other business disruptions, including working with maintenance team and other mills to keep things moving and customer expectations met
• Providing comprehensive induction and training of the team
• Communicating clearly across shifts and contributing to a strong team culture
• Staying alert, adaptable, and ready to think on your feet

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in stockfeed, milling, or food manufacturing (ideal but not essential)
• Strong communication skills and a solution focused mindset
• A hands‑on approach with high attention to detail
• Forklift licence
• Competent computer skills
• Flexibility to work day and afternoon shifts
• Reliability, positivity, and a genuine “can‑do” attitude
• Can lead a team and support their development and growth
