DescriptionThe Calhoun School, a progressive Pre-K through 12th-grade institution in New York City, seeks an Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial Assistance to join its Admissions Team. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment, the Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial Assistance leads the admissions and enrollment processes for current and prospective families, serving as a critical bridge between enrollment engagement and the financial assistance process. By managing the details of student affordability and enrollment data, this position ensures Calhoun remains accessible and inclusive.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Financial Assistance Management
- Financial Assistance Coordination: Manage the end-to-end financial assistance application process, ensuring all materials are collected and tracked.
- Family Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for families navigating the financial assistance process, providing clear and professional communication. Leads essential touchpoints for families to provide financial assistance education and details, such as virtual Townhalls, holding office hours, etc.
- CFO & Business Office Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Business Office and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure financial assistance awards are processed accurately and are in alignment with Board-determined strategy.
- Collections & Emergency Support: Coordinate with the Business Office regarding collections activities and provide support for families seeking emergency financial assistance as needed.
Admissions & Enrollment Operations
- Systems Leadership: Lead the Calhoun admissions team efforts in support of database integrity and data accuracy.
- Enrollment Data Management: Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date enrollment data, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and processes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with colleagues, families, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in admissions, financial assistance, or related field.
- Proven ability to manage complex data and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
