We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Pre-K Teacher to support our early childhood program serving children ages 3–5 years old. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, understands child development, and enjoys working collaboratively with lead teachers, students, and families in an independent school environment.

The Assistant Pre-K Teacher will help create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and curriculum.
  • Foster a warm, safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior through respectful guidance and modeling.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions.
  • Observe and document student progress and share observations with the Lead Teacher.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and educational resources.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Passion for early childhood education and child development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with lead teachers, students, and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
