Chosen Family is seeking passionate and experienced LGBTQIA+ Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in Gold Coast, QLD. This is a casual role, providing flexible work arrangements to support our diverse client base.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing personalised care and support to LGBTQIA+ clients with a range of disabilities
- Assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement
- Advocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
- Collaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for our clients
- Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in providing disability support services, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmation
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Passion for advocating for the rights and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
