Middle School Volleyball Coach

Belmont Day seeks an experienced volleyball coach to lead our middle school volleyball program this fall. This is a seasonal position from September 8, 2026 through November 23, 2026. The athletics program is a required component of the middle school curriculum and takes place four days per week, Monday through Thursday from 3:15pm - 4:30pm; candidates must be available at 2:30pm to ride the bus to away game days.

Candidates should have a proven record of volleyball experience either as an athlete, coach, or both. Candidates will be expected to incorporate the school’s core values into their programming and inspire and challenge every athlete. Highly competitive pay offered for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Coach middle school volleyball team during the fall season
• Use volleyball as a vehicle to build character and teach life skills
• Prepare detailed practice plans to promote sport-specific development
• Prepare athletes to participate in, and find success in interscholastic competition
• Collaborate with an assistant coach to plan and manage all aspects of volleyball program
• Communicate effectively with Director of Athletics through daily interactions and weekly meetings

• Sport-specific experience as an athlete and / or coach
• Experience working with children and / or adolescents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
• Cultural competency based on experience and professional development in diversity work
