The Opportunity

Academy of the Holy Names seeks a strategic, student-centered Athletic Director to lead and strengthen its middle and upper school athletic programs. The next Athletic Director will build on a proud tradition of competitive success while ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, culture, and long-term strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for athletics aligned with AHN’s mission
  • Promote a culture of sportsmanship, character, and competitive integrity
  • Align athletic programming with broader institutional goals

Program Oversight

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff
  • Oversee scheduling, facilities, budgeting, and compliance

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, athletic administration, sports management)
  • 5+ years of experience in athletic administration, preferably in a Catholic school setting
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful athletic programs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and parents
