6th Grade Science Teacher

St. Francis School is seeking a dynamic and passionate 6th grade science teacher to join our dedicated team of educators for the 26-27 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging science lessons and labs that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure all students are challenged and supported.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and participate.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to make math concepts accessible and relevant to students.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate math and science concepts.

• Master's degree in Science Education or related field;
• Teaching certification in Science Education for grades 6-8;
• Strong background in mathematics education;
• Experience in developing and implementing engaging science lessons and labs;
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Ability to assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
