King School is an independent, college preparatory day school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. We are a diverse, vibrant learning community dedicated to educational excellence and the fullest academic and personal achievement of our students.
We are looking for qualified applicants with a minimum of three years of high school or college basketball coaching experience for the Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach position. Highly motivated candidates possessing strong leadership and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
The Head Coach will have responsibility for all aspects of the program, including mentorship and oversight of the assistant, JV, and middle school coaches, and be the face of King Boys Basketball, providing leadership in the ongoing development, growth, and improvement of the program from grades 6-12.
The Head Coach will execute effective teaching and coaching techniques to help the athletes optimize their athletic skill, acumen and attitude, and be expected to build upon the success of the program.
In a winning environment, the Head Coach will also constructively collaborate with students and adults in a positive spirit; display and promote sportsmanship and citizenship; and demonstrate a commitment to King’s Virtues and Diversity Policy.
King School is a founding member of the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the Boys Basketball Program currently plays in the extremely competitive New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B division.
