Urdu Language Expert - Freelance

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Language Expert – Urdu (Pakistan) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong linguistic background, expertise in the Urdu-Pakistan language, and the ability to lead projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The Language expert will oversee linguistic tasks, manage quality assurance, and provide mentorship to linguists while ensuring the delivery of high-quality language services.

The applicant should be a native Pakistani National who understands the Language in-depth, knows the cultural nuances of the language, and have an excellent command over English-US, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:

Here is a non-exhaustive list of main tasks for this role:

• Perform LQA reviews, adhering to quality guidelines and production timelines.
• Handle arbitrations and drive linguistic consensus for optimal results.
• Perform glossary and TM updates within Smartling environment, following the guidelines provided by the quality team.
• Handle Client review (from non-linguists) feedback exchange and implementation.
• Process linguistic feedback from QA testing and implement changes as needed.
• Provide linguistic and cultural consultation as requested by the client.
