Description

St. George Episcopal School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Development Officer to join our school community in the coming school year! Our mission is to provide exceptional academic, physical, creative, and spiritual development in an inclusive Christian community that cultivates love, service, curiosity, and respect for God, self, and others.

With respect to the Development Office, the Development Officer:

  • Assists with Development Office tasks as needed;
  • Assists with record keeping and database management related to Development;
  • Assists with event planning and advancement support including but not limited to Annual Fund, Golf Tournament, Spring Fling, Battle of the Flowers, and Alumni Reunions;
  • Assists with alumni relations and outreach;
  • Assists with developing relationships, donor communications, and stewardship efforts;
  • Coordinates with the Business Office on all incoming payments and associated transaction fees related to the Development Office.

With respect to the school, the Development Officer:

  • Is a part of the school’s Advancement Team, comprising of the Head of School, Director of Enrollment Management, Director of Development, Director of Community Relations; and Admissions Officer
  • As a member of the school community, pursues opportunities to engage in the greater life of the school by attending school events, games, activities, etc.
  • Attends all school meetings;
  • Attends required special events; and
  • Follows school rules and board policies.

With respect to professionalism, the Development Officer:

  • Maintains an appropriate and professional distance from students and families of St. George Episcopal School;
  • Refrains from discussing the St. George community or school in an inappropriate or negative manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
