PK4 Lead Teacher

Reports to Associate Head of School

Subject to change based on school needs

 

 

At Branch, we believe in the power of loving to learn, learning to lead, and leading with love. These guiding principles shape our community and mission. We are seeking a passionate and experienced lead PK4 Teacher to work with our younger learners, starting in the 26-27 school year.

As a school that serves Pre-K, elementary, and middle school students, we encourage a love of learning, foster leadership skills, and promote leading with compassion and integrity. The ideal candidate should be energetic, creative, kind, and have a passion for working with small children. They should be able to interact with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional manner that allows for collaboration and cooperation. The candidate should embrace a play-based model of teaching.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

 

  • Implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with school standards and early childhood best practices.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and foundational academic skills.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
  • Incorporate social-emotional learning and character education into weekly lessons alongside the school counselor.
  • Conduct ongoing informal and formal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of student progress, assessment data, and developmental milestones.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in teaching Pre-K students
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood best practices
  • Ability to implement a play-based curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
