Upper School History Teacher

We are seeking an experienced educator who is passionate, collaborative, and reflective to join our History Department to teach in at least one of the following disciplines: Ninth Grade History of the Modern World, Tenth Grade United States History, and/or AP United States History.

The position requires active participation in our vibrant learning community and an educator who will inspire and support our students. The role also requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at the course and departmental level.

Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, ‘Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school enrolling approximately 2,200 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.

• Bachelor’s degree in History or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience in History in grades 7-12.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and to design lessons which make use of a wide variety of learning methods.
• Ability to design and execute curriculum.
