3rd and 4th Grade Judaic Studies Teacher

We seek a creative and dynamic educator with solid experience in teaching Judaic Studies in an engaging and comprehensive manner. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, depth of knowledge, and a student-centered approach to the classroom, fostering a love for Jewish learning, while building strong connections with students and families.

The position is a long-term sub, starting on October 30, 2026, and ending on June 10, 2027. The teacher will be responsible for teaching Judaic Studies (Torah, Jewish holidays, Israel, values, and traditions) in an engaging and meaningful way.

• Teach Judaic Studies (Torah, Jewish holidays, Israel, values, and traditions) in an engaging and comprehensive manner.
• Plan and teach a challenging and developmentally appropriate course of study, with an emphasis on differentiating instruction and using assessments effectively.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment through regular class meetings, supportive interactions with students, and clear expectations for community behavior.
• Engage students in experiential learning, encouraging deep investigation of topics as part of an emergent curriculum.
• Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to explore their Jewish identity.
• Guide students in tefillah (prayer) and holiday celebrations, helping them build a personal connection to Jewish practice.
