Lead Teacher

Montclare Preschool is seeking a Lead Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. Hours are 8 am - 2 pm, or 8 am - 3 pm, five days per week. Benefits and competitive salary. Start date: September 8th; 10-month position.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Providing a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that helps children learn and grow.
• Developing engaging activities and lesson plans that foster the whole child concept and take each child's individual needs into consideration.
• Collaborating with the teaching team regarding program development, planning and implementation.
• Maintaining Children's developmental profiles. Observing, collecting, and recording data for child assessments.
• Maintaining healthy dialogue with Education Director regarding all things pertaining to the classroom, students, parents, general environment.
• Attending team meetings, staff meetings, and educational workshops as necessary.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.

• Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Certification in Early Childhood Education (can be in progress).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
