Rippowam Cisqua School seeks a qualified, full-time Lower School Homeroom teacher.
Responsibilities for the position include:
- Daily oversight of a homeroom of Lower School students.
- Participation and eager contributions to a grade-level team.
- Frequent communication with school administrators and student families.
- Ongoing participation in professional development and curricular design to ensure the implementation of a culturally responsive program.
Requirements for the position include:
- Minimum of three years teaching experience at the elementary school level.
- A master’s degree in education or a related field.
- A commitment to an inclusive school community.
- A strong understanding of cognitive and social development for children of this age.
- A dedication to professional growth and development.
- A knowledge of instruction and assessment practices particularly in research-based reading practices.
- A desire to design and implement interdisciplinary curriculum.
- A joyful disposition, genuine sense of humor, intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and a sincere interest in being part of a team.
