Rippowam Cisqua School seeks a qualified, full-time Lower School Homeroom teacher.

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Daily oversight of a homeroom of Lower School students.
  • Participation and eager contributions to a grade-level team.
  • Frequent communication with school administrators and student families.
  • Ongoing participation in professional development and curricular design to ensure the implementation of a culturally responsive program.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Minimum of three years teaching experience at the elementary school level.
  • A master’s degree in education or a related field.
  • A commitment to an inclusive school community.
  • A strong understanding of cognitive and social development for children of this age.
  • A dedication to professional growth and development.
  • A knowledge of instruction and assessment practices particularly in research-based reading practices.
  • A desire to design and implement interdisciplinary curriculum.
  • A joyful disposition, genuine sense of humor, intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and a sincere interest in being part of a team.
