Carolina Friends School is seeking a temporary full-time Lower School interventionist to support our elementary students with targeted intervention to support academic growth. The teacher will join a Lower School staff of skilled, dedicated teachers committed to the growth of the whole child and continually developing a student-centered, mission-driven curriculum. The teacher will also work closely with the Early School/Lower School Learning Specialist to coordinate their efforts. In addition, this teacher will participate in weekly staff meetings and school-wide and unit-based staff development. Teachers at Carolina Friends enjoy a school community committed to a pedagogy rooted in Quaker thought and practice. We strive to collaborate toward the realization of every child’s highest potential in the classroom, community, and wider world.
The weekly schedule will be determined jointly by the interventionist, learning specialist, and head teacher, based on the needs identified and how they fit into the Lower School schedule. This is a benefits-eligible position.
This is a temporary full-time position starting in August 2026 and ending in December 2026.
