Saddle River Day School is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Mathematics teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year.
This position includes teaching Upper School classes (which may include Middle School students) and serving as an advisor to a small group of students.
Key responsibilities:
Teach five sections of mathematics, with potential courses ranging from Algebra I through AP Calculus (course may be at the CP, Honors, or AP level)
Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal development
Participate actively in the life of the school community beyond the classroom, including contributing to extracurricular programs, events, and committees
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Have experience teaching mathematics courses (other relevant experiences will be considered)
Demonstrate a passion for teaching, fostering student growth, and engaging students in problem-solving and mathematical thinking
Manage the classroom effectively, establish a positive learning environment, and maintain accurate records of student progress
Effectively differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curricula and interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Communicate effectively with families to support student success
Create a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and mathematical exploration
Integrate technology and current educational trends into classroom practices
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 (final compensation will be determined based on experience and education)
