Essential Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with Virginia standards and Rise Academy’s instructional framework.
• Teach mathematics courses including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Physics.
• Design engaging lessons that promote conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and mathematical reasoning.
• Integrate technology and innovative instructional practices into daily teaching.
• Utilize formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications and career pathways.

• Master’s degree in Mathematics Education or related field.
• Virginia teaching certification or ability to obtain.
• Proven track record of teaching mathematics courses.
• Strong understanding of Virginia standards and instructional frameworks.
• Experience with technology integration and innovative instructional practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
