We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Substitute Math Teachers (for 9th- 12th Grade) who are passionate about education. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, nurturing, and capable of maintaining the classroom's flow while adhering to the values and philosophy of Waldorf education.

San Francisco Waldorf School (SFWS) was founded in 1979 and serves 380 students across a Preschool-12th Grade program. The high school campus is in the lovely West Portal neighborhood and easily accessible by public transit.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide instruction and maintain the classroom environment as outlined in the lesson plans provided by the primary teacher.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere for students.
  • Maintain a sense of continuity and stability within the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
  • Manage classroom behavior in a positive and respectful manner.

Requirements

  • University degree.
  • Waldorf teacher training.
  • Experience teaching in a Waldorf school (preferable).
  • Ability to adapt to Waldorf education values and philosophy.
