Position Title: Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities:

Classroom Instruction

• Ability to teach curriculum from Algebra 1 through Calculus.
• Employ lectures, discussions, and demonstrations using a variety of methodologies.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
• Provide opportunities, when needed, for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world in an engaging and relevant way.
• Prepare note packets, assignments, and supplemental materials to support assignments.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Assign classwork/homework, grade, and return to students in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records.

Technology

• Implement Google Classroom, Smartboard, TI-Nspire Calculators, Desmos, and others, to supplement presentations.
• Update the courses' Google Classroom and/or the school management site on a regular basis.
• Instruct classes virtually as needed using Zoom technology.
• Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to enhance teaching and learning.

• Master's degree in Mathematics or related field.
• California teaching credential or ability to obtain.
• Experience teaching mathematics in a high school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
