Seeking an experienced, student-centered, and pedagogically innovative high school mathematics teacher to join our community as a full-time faculty member who will actively support and fulfill our mission “to create a deep sense of belonging for every member of our community. ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan and teach four sections of mathematics and potentially one section of mechanical engineering.
Able to teach the range of mathematics from algebra I through calculus.
Learn and utilize the principles of Design in the classroom and beyond.
Teach a curriculum and work in collaboration with a community that embraces diversity, provides equity, and ensures inclusion and belonging for all.
Teach using current pedagogical practices, including Universal Design for Learning, backward planning (Understanding by Design), and project-based learning, to equip students with the Future Ready Skills they need for college and beyond.
Coach sports and/or lead activities.
Advise a small cohort of students.
Serve as a dorm parent in our residential program and work within a team to supervise and facilitate weekend activities for six weekends per year.
Pursue continuous growth and development in understanding and implementation of diverse and effective instructional practices.
Contribute knowledge, expertise, and passion to the ongoing collaborative effort to innovate and improve our curriculum.
Participate in committee work as assigned by school leadership.

Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
Teaching certification in mathematics or a related field.
Experience in teaching mathematics at the high school level.
Experience with project-based learning, Universal Design for Learning, and Understanding by Design.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
