Job Summary:

Golda Och Academy is seeking an innovative and collaborative STEAM Educator to serve students in Pre-K through Grade 8. This role partners with the Director of STEM Education and faculty to design and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

The ideal candidate is passionate about design thinking, robotics, makerspace development, and integrating technology across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

  • Teach foundational technology and computer skills courses for Pre-K–8 students
  • Collaborate to enhance and align STEAM curriculum with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
  • Develop and manage a dynamic Lower School Makerspace
  • Integrate STEAM learning across General Studies, Math, and Judaic Studies curricula
  • Conduct a STEAM program needs assessment and support program growth

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT & ENRICHMENT:

  • Advise the Middle School Robotics Club (lunch sessions, after-school meetings, and competitions)
  • Develop and lead STEAM enrichment opportunities, including lunchtime and after-school programming
  • Support school-wide events such as STEM Night and community outreach initiatives

PROGRAM PROMOTION:

  • Partner with the marketing team to highlight STEAM programming through social media and multimedia content

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience teaching in elementary and/or middle school settings
  • Strong understanding of STEAM education and curriculum design
  • Ability to integrate technology and design thinking across disciplines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
