The Miquon School, a Progressive, non-sectarian independent school serving grades N-6, is seeking a full-time teacher to teach in one of its upper elementary classroom groups starting in the 2026-27 school year.
The salary will be commensurate with experience, and the position reports directly to the Associate Head of School for Teaching and Learning.
The Role
Miquon teachers work to support the intellectual and social/emotional development of children as individuals and members of a community in collaboration with our students' families.
Each classroom has two teachers who are responsible for providing instruction for their group together. The two work collaboratively in planning and delivering instruction.
Teachers are responsible for developing and implementing curriculum in mathematics, language arts, and social studies, and working collaboratively with an in-classroom teaching partner and six specialist teachers (Art, Library, Music, Science, Spanish, P.E.), learning support coordinators, and other support staff.
