Position Description:
THINK Studios is Field's center for design thinking, fabrication, and creative problem-solving. It is both a physical space and a culture of learning: we ask students to observe carefully, define problems precisely, and ideate on solutions to address real, human needs. THINK Studios sits at the intersection of Field's deepest aspirations for teaching and learning: the idea that knowledge should transfer, that disciplines are most powerful in conversation with each other, and that students learn best by doing and making things that have real impact on the world. At its core, THINK Studios is about what happens when students are trusted with hard problems and given the time, tools and space to think them through.
The THINK Studios Assistant Director is a full-time, year-round position supporting the THINK Studios director in building and running an experiential learning program that connects students in grades 6–12 to meaningful opportunities within and beyond the classroom. The role spans four primary areas: coordinating student internships with community and industry partners; designing and implementing the Senior Capstone program; managing logistics for domestic and international travel programs; and supporting broader THINK Studios events and strategic initiatives. The person in this role is expected to develop and sustain external partnerships, serve as a liaison across students, families, host organizations, and faculty.
