Our client provides outsourced finance operations and advisory for founders, CEOs, and CFOs. They support clients with services like bookkeeping, reporting, forecasting, and tax/compliance — helping leaders run their businesses with clearer numbers and stronger execution.
The team is lean and distributed, with HQ in Austin, TX. The company is early-stage and focused on building repeatable execution as client volume grows. This role exists to bring structure, clarity, and operational leverage.
We’re hiring an Operations Manager to professionalize and scale internal operations across service delivery, team execution, and client workflows.
This is a high-ownership generalist role. You’ll build processes, create operating rhythms, and keep execution moving — but you’ll also jump into whatever needs doing (sales, marketing, support, product, internal ops). The client’s words: you should be willing to “mop the floor.”
Accounting experience is not required. If you have it, great — but the priority is operational leadership, systems thinking, and the ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous environments.
They’d love to hire someone who has been a founder (or early operator) at a previous unicorn startup — someone who has lived through real scale and can build systems fast.
Build an operating picture of “how work flows today” (people, tools, handoffs, bottlenecks)
Implement a lightweight operating rhythm (weekly priorities, check-ins, escalation paths, follow-up)
Standardize delivery work
Develop and maintain processes and systems to support growth and scale
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
Identify and prioritize areas for process improvement
