Mount Saint Mary Academy is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Coach. The successful candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court while fostering a positive, competitive, and supportive team environment. This position plays an important role in the continued growth and success of the tennis program.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Head Coach for the JV Girls Tennis team
Plan and conduct daily practices focused on skill development, match strategy, and sportsmanship
Coach and supervise all JV matches and team activities
Work collaboratively with the Varsity coaching staff to promote continuity within the program
Evaluate student-athletes and provide constructive feedback to support growth and development
Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, accountability, and competitive excellence
Monitor student-athlete academic and behavioral expectations
Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff
Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic department procedures
Assist with program-wide initiatives, team events, and player development opportunities
Qualifications:
Prior tennis coaching experience preferred
Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, techniques, rules, and match strategy
Ability to teach and develop athletes with varying skill levels and experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to the educational mission of Mount Saint Mary Academy

Strong understanding of rules, regulations, and safety protocols in tennis
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff
