Mount Saint Mary Academy is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach while also assisting the Varsity Head Coach. This position is ideal for a coach who is committed to developing student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall success and continuity of the volleyball program.
The Head JV Girls Volleyball Coach / Varsity Assistant will be responsible for:
Serve as the Head Coach for the JV Girls Volleyball team
Plan and conduct daily practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy
Coach and manage all JV competitions
Assist the Varsity Head Coach with practices, game preparation, and match-day responsibilities
Promote alignment and consistency between JV and Varsity program philosophies
Evaluate student-athletes and provide constructive feedback to support development
Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of student-athletes
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration
Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic department expectations

Requirements
Prior volleyball coaching experience (high school or club preferred)
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies
Ability to teach and develop players at varying skill levels
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, and student-athlete development
Availability for all scheduled practices and matches during the fall season
