Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

Villanova Preparatory School, a distinguished co-educational, college preparatory school in beautiful Ojai, California, is seeking a volleyball coach to lead the girls program.

Villanova Prep is a Catholic school founded by Augustinian Friars and ranked as one of the best Catholic schools in America. The school serves boarding and day students in grades six through twelve and offers a rigorous education rooted in a rich intellectual tradition.

The volleyball coach will be part of the Villanova Wildcat athletics team working with, and in support of the Athletics Department. Varsity head coaches run a year-round program adhering to California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) rules.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Planning and conducting practices preparing student-athletes for competition
• Develop and support fundraising initiatives including clinics and summer camps
• Ensure the safety of all participants enforcing safety protocols
• Coordinate schedules, facilities use, and transportation with the athletic director to meet program needs
• Assist in the recruiting, selection, and retention of assistant coaches
• Communicating with student-athletes, parents and families, school administration, teachers, and staff regarding expectations, schedules, and athletic program policies
• Commitment to modeling the values of Catholic education and Villanova’s Augustinian mission
• Promoting our top athletes for collegiate opportunities

• Experience coaching volleyball at the high school level
• Knowledge of CIF-SS rules and regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and staff
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Commitment to the values of Catholic education and Villanova’s Augustinian mission
