Full-Time Bilingual School Counselor

Keio Academy of New York is an international co-ed boarding school seeking a highly motivated bilingual high School Counselor to join our team. We are an international school affiliated with Keio University in Japan. The ideal candidate has experience providing counseling in a school setting and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement a wellness curriculum that serves students, faculty, staff, and the broader school community.

This position is full-time and on-campus at our boarding school in Purchase, NY. We are seeking a candidate who is bilingual in English and Japanese, has experience providing individual and/or group counseling to adolescents, and has a demonstrated ability to develop or lead a wellness or social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum.

• Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (spoken, read, and written)
• Appropriate New York State Licensure/Certification (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, etc.)
• Master's degree or higher in School Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Experience providing individual and/or group counseling to adolescents
• Demonstrated experience developing or leading a wellness or social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum
• Outstanding communication skills
• Proactive, flexible, warm, steady, and developmentally attuned to students
