A Preschool Assistant Teacher is passionate about supporting the children and teachers of the Preschool as they live out Forsyth Country Day School’s mission of preparing our children for what’s ahead.
The preschool assistant teacher will be responsible for helping the teacher to foster growth in all domains of development, including:
Social/Emotional
Language/Literacy
Math/Logical Reasoning
Physical (fine and gross motor)
Adaptive Skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Model and instill a love of learning
Support a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
Support student performance in all areas of development: Social Emotional, Language and Literacy, Logical Mathematical, and Physical
Support appropriate instruction in line with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs
Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect
Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies
