Job Description

Sewickley Academy is seeking an innovative, dedicated, and passionate individual to fill the role of Spanish teacher in our Middle and Senior Schools. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a deep knowledge of and appreciation for Spanish language and culture. They should be able to teach all levels ranging from Spanish I through AP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate meaningful, rigorous, level-appropriate instruction to students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Spanish or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Spanish in a middle and/or senior school setting.
  • Ability to teach all levels of Spanish, including Spanish I through AP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
