This position will be responsible for teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in our upper elementary and middle school.
They will be responsible for teaching creative whole child lessons, while instilling and upholding high academic standards in differentiated multi-age classrooms – Their job will be to challenge each student, including neurodiverse ones, to grow to their personal best.
We are committed to teaching accurate, research-supported science and teach kids how to evaluate evidence and assertions.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to teach middle school mathematics and science, as well as grade 3-5 science.
In addition, this position will be part of a small middle school team sharing responsibility for homeroom and other middle school activities.
We expect teachers to not only teach content but also get to know students, model Quaker values, and relate to the whole child.
This specialist position will teach small classes of 8 - 20 students.
