We invite you to join our team in making this mission a reality for our students as a full-time School Counselor in the Middle School, for the 2026-27 school year. Successful candidates should possess a Master’s level mental health clinician experience, with experience working with children and/or adolescent populations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience.

Reporting to the Director of Counseling, the Middle School counselor will:

  • Meet the emotional and physical needs of a diverse student and parent body;
  • Maximize the quantity and quality of student school time by reducing the incident of health problems which impair or prevent learning;
  • Facilitate the highest degree of independent functioning possible for the students we serve;
  • Have a student caseload;
  • Work with faculty, staff, and families around student mental health concerns;
  • Respond to acute mental health crises during the school day;
  • Participate as an integral part of a team responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating school suicide prevention training;
  • Collaborate with mental health clinicians working with our students;
  • Work closely with Division Leadership and Learning Support in a holistic approach to student support.

Requirements

  • Master’s level mental health clinician experience;
  • Experience working with children and/or adolescent populations;
  • 3-5 years of experience;
  • Ability to work with diverse student and parent body;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
