Description

The Phelps School seeks a Spanish Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The instructor will foster a dynamic classroom environment that is conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of boys, while cultivating a learning experience that motivates each student along their individual academic journey. Courses would include Introductory and Intermediate Spanish. Advanced Spanish and other electives would be considered based on the preference of the candidate and the demand from students.

Teachers at Phelps serve as advisors to as many as five students and are fully involved in co-curricular programs as coaches, activity sponsors, weekend trip chaperones, and/or community service project supervisors. They are dynamic men and women dedicated to helping each boy become a better man – in and out of the classroom. They enjoy working with students in relatively small classes and engaging collaboratively in curriculum design and constant professional improvement. They strive to integrate technology into their teaching and to help improve students’ creativity and critical thinking skills.
