The Dalton School seeks a Community Engagement & Belonging (CEB) Program Associate who brings both project management expertise and strong interpersonal skills to provide administrative support for CEB Office programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, community event planning, and coordinating logistics. Working with multiple constituents across the school community, the Program Associate will help shape and sustain CEB events with a professional presence, enthusiasm, flexibility, and initiative. This position reports to the Chief of Community Engagement & Belonging.

Responsibilities:

Administrative office tasks:

  • Serve as an administrative assistant for the Chief of Community Engagement & Belonging.
  • Handle the CEB office schedule, event calendar, departmental meetings, professional travel, telephone calls, and correspondence.
  • Handle and organize Community Engagement & Belonging expenses across its departments (ordering and maintaining supplies, processing invoices and receipts, booking applicable travel and registration, working with vendors).
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and vendors.
  • Provide support for the planning and execution of school-wide events and programs.
  • Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and reporting as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in program management, event planning, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
