Primary (1st–3rd) and 4th–5th Boys PE Teacher

We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Primary (1st–3rd grade) and 4th–5th Boys Physical Education Teacher. Candidates for this position should embrace the BHS Physical Education mission to empower students to fulfill their God-given potential as lifelong movers through physical literacy.

This position includes but is not limited to the following duties:

• Teaches PE Classes for primary (1st–3rd) grades and 4th–5th boys.
• Develops and delivers curriculum (scope & sequence) for all 5 sections, yearly plans, unit plans, daily plans, assessments that are age-appropriate and standards-based in collaboration with the Athletic Director, including plans for Human Development Units for 4th and 5th grade boys.
• Stays current on best practices and pedagogical approaches to teaching.

• Teaching certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in teaching physical education to primary and upper elementary grades.
• Strong understanding of SHAPE America’s National Content Standards.
• Ability to develop and deliver curriculum that aligns with school values and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
